Project Goldmyr: RELOADED

We are BACK... For real this time :)

Hello there,

We think that you have been waiting along time for the regeneration of Goldmyr. However, due to our old Collaborators taking on school or persuing other work, they do not have the time to continue with this project. (To which we thank them for sticking with us!)

The head-administrator of the DJ Friend has been given a heavy work load, (We also wish him luck with it!)
while he is still part of the team, and will still be taking part in the development of the website. He has appointed me as the new Head-Administrator until such a time as he can get back to work with us!

To help us in this reconstruction of the DJ Friend, we are looking for a new generation of Collaborators to post with us! A website by DJs, for DJs and about DJs! Help us continue to give you fresh content about producers and future events. WE NEED YOU!

While I may not have time to post all of the benefits of being a Collaborator here, you can email me at:
THIS EMAIL! I will send you the full details of benefits of being a poster for thedjfriend.com

Or you can leave your questions in the comments section and I will get around to either:
Replying to the comments OR
Making an entirely new post about the questions you may have. (If there is enough though :D)

Thank you, you really are the best fans me and Jack could ask for!
Until next time!

The world's biggest music magazine for electronic dance music, DJMag, has since 1997 allowed the audience to vote for their favorite DJ's. and that has been extremely important in the EDM scene. everyone who hopes to clear a space in the top 100, uses a lot of time on major marketing campaigns. And that there has been much discussion around the last two or three years - especially the point where the list is accused of being the most populer dj in the world.
But that's the way it is now, and you just have to accept that legends disappear from the list to make room for more "appropriate time" artists, even if they are not necessarily better DJs because of it. This year we have already received several shocks, like James Zabiela, Sven Väth, BT, Roger Sanchez, Hernan Cattaneo, Judge Jules, Fatboy Slim and Joris Voorn have all fallen out of the top.

Preliminary results:

111. Bloody Beetroots
112. Bassnectar
113. Leon Bolier
114. Gunz 4 Hire
115. Astrix
116. Joachim Garraud
117. Boy George
118. Ashley Wallbridge
119. Mastiksoul
120. Adaro
121. Super 8 & Tab
122. Skazi
123. James Zabiela
124. Daniel Kandi
125. Klaypex
126. Matt Darey
127. Basto
128. Roger Sanchez
129. Showtek
130. BT

Novation Zero SL MKII
The Novation Zero SL MKII Boasts a sleek style whilst keeping in with the modern compact style of MIDI Controllers , Making it perfects for gigging , Or other live performances.

Although This nifty little controller does not look like much , It has great potential , With the ability to be mapped out onto countless audio emitting programs such as Reason , Fl Studio and Traktor. It may not look like it but the Zero SL MKII is actually a brilliant DJ controller , Featuring the famous Crossfader and boasting over 50 Buttons Just asking you to be mapped out to your favourite effect or modulation , Also included are another 25 Faders in the form of sliders and knobs ,This is perfect for the DJ who are interested in the controllers aspect of the DJ art.

In amongst this fantastic controller , Novation have Placed eight small drum-pads, Although they are not exactly the best drum-pads I have ever used , they still do the job relatively well , But don't be expecting to go all Jackie Chan on them though.

This controller comes along with Novations , State of the art Auto-map Software Giving you the ability to map your controller to most of the top of the line music production software such as Logik , Reason and Ableton Live.

Also featured on the back of this product are several inputs and outputs , Featured are 4 MIDI ports , A MIDI port 2 out , and 3 MIDI port 1 sockets , Thru , Out and In. This controller can also be hooked up to a control pedal and an expression pedal , and this controller has the ability to be powered by 100% BUS Power , meaning that all you really need to get up and running is a USB cable , But you are also givin the option to power it by 9V DC Power.

That's pretty much it , This controller caught my eye a while back and Since then I am still using it to it's full potential , never getting bored.
