The story of Swedish House Mafia - "It’s three people, three producers and three pairs of eyes and ears perfectly aligned together"

Steve Angello, born in Greece, was only a child when his father was killed. Raised in Stockholm, his mother was Swden, the young Steve met Sebastian Ingrosso, Seb. “Me and Seb met when we were six or seven: we got into all kinds of trouble together!” laughs Steve.

Sebastian's father had a label called Plumphose and the two guys started to get into music and did all kind of "weird things including lounge compilations" as Angello says. The also started to make music for shows.
They had been working together for quite some time.

"We bumped into Axwell ten years ago now, when he was doing stuff on (the house label) Sulphuric,” says Steve. “We got in touch, we were younger than him, and we just clicked. We all learned from each other because we were young kids. Also, when it came to the music, Me and Seb were more rough. I don’t tweak a hi-hat for six hours".

The most popular dj

There are a lot of rankings that put djs in an order based on various parameters.
The most famous is doubtless Dj mag top 100 djs, that ranks djs based on users' votes. But, as it possible understanding, this kind of classification can't be totally reliable.

So we have decide to classify the most popular dj by analyzing his effective popularity on internet.
We have chosen various parameters and mixing them we are able to decree a ranking.
The parameters we used are: number of results on google (by typing the name of the dj), the number of videos on Youtube about the dj, the number of like on Facebook, the number of followers on Soundcloud, and, obviously, the Dj mag ranking.

Madeon - The 18 years old, Superstar teenager

Each of us has surely listened about Madeon.
His real name is Hugo Leclercq. He was born in Nantes, in 1994 (30 May).

His style is influenced by genres such as French house and nu disco. The young artist feels particularly close to the French Touch and artists like Daft Punk, from which he often takes the Song "Around the World".

In fact, as he said, "Daft Punk are my mentors and teachers, and their bits are great, especially in some songs that I'm going crazy!
I put those bits in almost everything I do."
It feels very attached to the artist Martin Solveig and Justice, and similar to Daft Punk.
He released his first remix when he was 16, "Smile Like You Mean It" by Killers, as well as remixes of Alphabeat DJ.
Then he released his single "For You" and "Shuriken".
But the real breakthrough came when he won the Contest of the Pendulum "The Island", where he really unpopulated for its incredible qualities as a producer.
Shortly thereafter he remixed "Que Tu Veux Yelle", appearing in numerous Live by the artist, which was followed by an official video.

In May 2011 he released his remix of "Raise Your Weapon" by Deadmau5, heard by many as a world exclusive on BBC Radio 1.

People know him for his immense Mashups, Pop Culture, which combines 39 songs in 3 minutes. All this was performed live with Ableton Live and a Novation Launchpad.

The single "Icarus" went on sale in February 2012 , which reached the top positions in the ranking of Beatport debuting in 15th position in the UK Chart Update.
What do you think about him? will he become one of the best dj in the world? comment by expressing your idea!
